There is no need to open an account with the providers listed below. Just dial, simply dial or Pre-Dial numbers are ones you can dial from BT landlines. You will be charged by BT for the call.

Just dial the access number and follow the voice instructions. You will be asked to dial your destination number. Please note the call charge per minute starts the moment you're connected and hear the voice prompt. If the call can't be completed successfully because the called party is engaged or out, you will be billed for the time spent on the access number (usually less than 1 minute).

With these providers, you first need to set up an account or pre-pay for calls. Payment methods are usually credit card, Direct Debit, sending a top-up text or calling a premium 09xx number.

Once you have an account, you can use a short access code you dial from your BT landlines (18866, 1899) or a geographical number (020) you can use to make call from your mobile using your inclusive minutes. Not all providers supply both. Make sure you read the terms and conditions and understand what's on offer before you top-up or give your credit card details.

To use these providers you will need either a microphone or even better if you get an IP or a USB phone that's compatible with the software you download. You can make free calls to any of the users of the provider you choose, and you can put some credit into your account and make calls to any phone number in the specified country at the rate shown. This is ideal for traveling and roaming as you can make calls from any wi-fi hotspot in the world.
